Retreat during National Craft Month

March is National Craft Month and the month Ladyslipper NeedleArts Society holds their retreat. The 2018 Winter Retreat is behind us and everyone is getting anxious for warmer weather.

A little over 40 ladies enjoyed sitting, and chatting as we looked out over the Root River.  This was our eighth year at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch. This year more wildlife was observed.  It was mentioned that if there is enough interest we could extend our retreat to a full week.  WOW!  Think of the additional projects we could bring and hopefully complete or at least make progress on.

We also had more mother/daughter groups attend this year. Some stitched together, some crafted together and some just spent time together enjoying the relaxing atmosphere.  It’s always fun to see what everyone is working on, especially since we have members of other groups retreating with us.  Several members of the Lace Society and Embroidery Guild joined us and its fun to learn about their craft.

We will keep everyone posted as to the dates when they are finalized for the 2019 Winter Retreat on our Facebook page.

Meanwhile make the most of these last wintery days to stitch something before March Craft Month is only a memory.
